We are a Hospice with an excellent reputation within the community we serve. We are one of the UK’s largest Hospice at Home services and also have a state of the art inpatient unit. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our team. The candidate(s) will be an experienced individual with the energy, enthusiasm and ability to contribute to our multi professional team.
The successful candidate must be able to:
- facilitate the provision of high quality specialist nursing care to patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses
- provide direct support and advice to patients and their families and act as a resource to other professionals in the community
- advise and support the multi-disciplinary team involved in the patient’s care, particularly on symptom control issues and psychological, spiritual and bereavement care
- take part in planning and delivering education programmes within the community in conjunction with the Education Department
Positions would be considered for both experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists or those wishing to consider a training position
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
There will be a requirement to participate in the on-call rota, including weekends.
Use of a car and possession of a UK driving licence is essential.
The post involves working with vulnerable adults and is subject to a Disclosure Barring Service application at an enhanced level.
