Large Item Donations

Do you have a large piece of furniture you want to donate but can't easily transport? Our collection team can pick your item up at a time that suits you.

Request a collection

Before we collect your donation, we need to check that it is in a condition that is saleable. Every year we receive over 5000 donations that we cannot resell, often via fly tipping outside of our charity shops, which results in large disposal fees for us as a charity. We appreciate all donations, but by vetting large donations we can continue to fund what we’re great at - bringing care home.

  • If your item is a piece of upholstered furniture, does it have fire labels intact?
  • The item is in good or fair, saleable condition
  • The item is not on our list of items we don’t accept (for legal and health & safety reasons we can’t accept certain items)

By submitting this form, you agree to the use of your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Thank you for submitting your item, we will be in touch shortly.

Items We Do Not Accept

We are extremely grateful for all donations that we receive , but we do need to ensure they are of good quality and in a saleable condition in order to meet health & safety requirements. We ask that goods are separated into separate bags & boxes E.g. Glassware, bric-a-brac, clothes etc.

Please do not fly-tip any donations outside of our charity shops. Disposing of these items that are often wet and unsellable costs us a significant amount of money each year.

General items we do not accept:

  • Bathroom Fittings
  • Car seats
  • Carpets
  • Cassettes
  • Doors
  • Dress patterns
  • Videos
  • Flat pack furniture (unless new)
  • Furniture without fire labels

  • Mattresses
  • Painted Furniture
  • Ovens
  • Pianos
  • TVs
  • TV Units
  • Ceiling & Wall Lights
  • Quilts & Pillows (unless new & in packaging)
