We know that as well as effecting your health, a life threatening illness can have an impact financially, socially and emotionally. Our Social Workers and Welfare Rights Advisors are experienced in supporting patients and carers with a range of financial, social and emotional issues.

Social Work

Palliative Care Social Work complements what other professions offer, bringing a unique perspective and expertise. Supporting people to deal with the impact of what is happening to them in their lives, practically, emotionally, psychologically, including loss and bereavement.

Benefits Advice

Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team in the Hospice the Welfare Rights Advisors are independent from the Benefits Agency and Department of Work and Pensions and can advise on eligibility to benefits and assist with a wide range of claims for those who are eligible.
