Yesterday, 15 runners ran 393 miles between them at the London marathon. We also had runners taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon, all of them supporting hospice patients. Helping to provide bespoke care where, and whenever it is needed. We are extremely grateful for their support and wish them all the very best. They are all absolutely awesome #HospiceHeroes.

A huge thanks to all of our runners who ran. We didn't manage to get a photo of everyone, so if we've missed you please email your photo over to kris.broome@stdavidshospicecare.org to be featured!

If you have signed up for any run – whether it be a 5km, 10km, 1/2 Marathon, Marathon, Triathlon or Iron Man – why not raise funds for St David’s Hospice Care?

We like to treat our runners (supporters) with the same respect that our patients and their families receive and will endeavour to support you along the way with training tips, helpful hints and fundraising support.

You may also purchase a range of various merchandise such as running vests, T-shirts, wet weather gear and more.

We currently host our own 2 popular running events – the Pontypool 10k Home Run, and the City of Newport Half Marathon. Find out more on our

Running in an event is a great way to raise money for St David’s Hospice Care – but you should always take it seriously and ensure that you stay safe and healthy.
