Hundreds of runners at the start line for the sold out Pontypool 10k 🏃
On Sunday 15th February 2026, over 400 of runners took part in the sold out Pontypool 10k Home Run alongside the 2k Family Fun Run, raising vital funds for St David's Hospice Care.
The runs started at Pontypool Park, with 'Drum Runners' bringing music and motivation as the runners kicked off their miles through the park.
In the first few miles of the 10k runners encounter some ups and downs before there is a flat stretch to Mamhilad then a short climb to the picturesque Mon & Brecon canal, to take in the views whilst preparing for the last couple of miles. The last mile is undulating, before entering the Pontypool Park via the large metal iconic gates with a slight climb to the finish line.
A big thank you to supporters Tiny Rebel for providing post event beers for all 10k finishers to enjoy, alongside their medals as they crossed the line!
The Community Chiropractor was also in attendance providing pre and post-run massages and Joov providing free nasal strips as well as lots of essential merchandise!
Thank you also to all volunteers on the day - marshalling, on registration, finish line and so much more, helping us to host a great event for all that makes a big difference to the hospice!
