Megan’s Ride London Fundraiser for St David’s Hospice Care

Megan took on the Ride London challenge, one of the UK’s most prestigious cycling events, to raise money for a cause close to her heart.

A Cause Close to Home

Having experienced the impact of cancer within her own family, Megan knows first-hand the importance of hospice care and the support it provides to both patients and their loved ones. Her Ride London journey was more than just a personal challenge—it was an opportunity to give back and support others facing similar hardships.

“My mother, father and sister have had cancer, so I realise how important hospice care is. St David’s is highly regarded in the local community, so I was more than happy to help raise much-needed funds.”

Alongside her daughter and a fellow cyclist, Megan also organised a bucket collection to support her fundraising efforts.

“There was such support from the public. When we did a collection in a supermarket, we heard so many stories from people whose families had been cared for by St David’s. It made all the hard work worth it.”

Megan’s efforts highlight the incredible impact community fundraisers have in helping us continue our mission of providing essential palliative care.
