The Ridgeway Walk fundraiser
|

On the 17th May a team of 3 took on the Ridgeway Walk in loving memory of Gill. An 87 mile route along Britain's oldest road, used since prehistoric times - Starting near Tring, north west of London, walking south west & finishing near Avebury, in the North Wessex Downs. The team set out a week to complete it and successfully achieved their challenge! |

Steve, who organised the fundraiser, noted "Gill loved the outdoors, whether it was walking coastal paths, up mountains, along rivers or through local woods & fields. In the last years it brought her great comfort to be outside, enjoying the wildlife. So in her memory, I along with two old friends [undertook] the Ridgeway, Britain's oldest road, used since prehistoric times. I am raising money for St David's Hospice, who along with the Doctors & Nurses & staff of the Health Service never failed to give amazing care to Gill & comfort to us all" |
