How to donate your items with us

Whether you're having a full spring sort out in the house, or have a few small bits to find a new home for, it's easy to donate with us at St David's Hospice Care. We're extremely grateful for all donations we get, so thank you!

Important: Please do not fly-tip any donations outside of our charity shops. Disposing of these items that are often wet and unsellable costs us a significant amount of money each year.

Drop off at our depot

Our depot accepts good quality donations, so whether you’re upgrading your sofa, moving house or having a clear out, we can collect your unwanted furniture for free. You can also drop off bagged up smaller items at our donation depot. All we ask is that goods are separated into separate bags & boxes E.g. Glassware, bric-a-brac, clothes etc.

Arrange large item collections via our website

Did you know you can now arrange collection of large items via our website?
It’s quick and simple to do, all you need to do is visit our large item donations page , fill in the form and we’ll be in touch to arrange a free collection if your items are suitable.

At our shops

While we understand it may not always be possible, we would appreciate if donations could be dropped to our donations depot in Cwmbran, but if you’re not able to feel free to drop smaller items bagged & separated into our charity shops. Give them a ring before hand to check they’re accepting.

Items we do not accept

We are are extremely grateful for all donations that we receive , but we do need to ensure they are of good quality and in a saleable condition in order to meet health & safety requirements. We ask that goods are separated into separate bags & boxes E.g. Glassware, bric-a-brac, clothes etc.

Bathroom Fittings, Car seats, Carpets, Doors, Dress patterns, DVDs/videos/Cassettes, Flat pack furniture (unless new), Furniture without fire labels, Helmets, Kitchen fitments, Magazines, Old style cots, Pushchairs & prams, Painted furniture, Ovens, Pianos, TVs & TV units, Display Cabinets, Furniture over 6ft, Ceiling & Wall Lights, Quilts & Pillows (unless new & in packaging).
