The 11th annual Whitehead Tour de Gwent saw 300 cyclists take on 4 different routes of varying length and difficulty, from  a challenging 102 miles to a more leisurely 32 miles.

Those cycling the 2 longest routes up through Monmouth had to take on the infamous 'Tumble', a 6km climb up to the Blorenge and keepers pond, which has been a feature on some major cycling events in the UK including the Tour of Britain.

The ride started and finished at the Tiny Rebel Brewery in Rogerstone, which meant the cyclists could reward their efforts with some well earned refreshments afterwards.

You can view all the photos from the event on the Tour de Gwent Facebook page here.

The event made it into the local press which can be viewed here.
