How Volunteers Help
We have a huge number of strongly committed volunteers who give their valuable personal time in a variety of ways to support the work of St David’s. The skills that volunteers bring to the Hospice are varied and invaluable.
Some of the roles in which our volunteers are currently engaged include:
- Complementary Therapists
- Working in our shops
- Clerical and administration duties
- Fundraising activities
- Support Group members
- Helping with our Hospice Lottery
Can you help?
A few hours a week makes a huge difference to the care given to people with a life-limiting illness, their families and carers and helps to keep St David’s running.
There are many different opportunities and a wide range of activities in which you could become involved. No previous experience is required and full training will be provided wherever necessary. Your hours as a volunteer can be arranged to fit in with your other commitments.
It may also be that you can provide St David’s with contacts in the business world. We are always looking for opportunities to work with the corporate sector for fundraising.
If you are interested in any aspect of volunteering for St David’s, please contact Gavin Stewart at Blackett Avenue on 01633 851051.
You can also download a copy of our volunteer application form. Fill this out with your personal details, preferences and availability then return it to us at the address on the form: Volunteer Application Form
