In Memory Donations
Many donations that are made to St David’s Hospice Care are made in memory of a loved one. They are a very poignant way to remember someone special while also helping to raise money for local people and their families living with an incurable illness.
How to donate in memory
Just Giving In Memory Page
Set up a Just Giving page in memory of a loved one. It’s easy and allows friends and family to show support and leave messages while keeping the donations in one place so you can view the total. You can customise the page by adding photos and a little about the person you wish to remember. All donations are transferred automatically to St David’s Hospice, so there’s no need to do anything once the page has been set up.
Regular Giving
Supporting the hospice by becoming a regular giver means that you will be providing support and care for the families that need our services now and in the future.

Fundraising Event
Raise sponsorship by taking part in a fundraising event or by holding your own fundraiser for friends and family*
We have a range of community fundraising events throughout the year where you can order a fundraising pack to get you started. Take a look HERE
Some people like to organise their own activity or event. If this is you, we’d love to hear all about what you’re doing and will do our best to help in any way we can.
*We understand that meeting with other people is restricted at the moment. It’s still possible to hold virtual fundraising events while following current lockdown guidance. Get in touch with the Fundraising Team by emailing fundraising@stdavidshospicecare.org if you have any queries or need some advice.
Over the Phone
Make a donation over the phone by calling our fundraising office on 01633 851051
By Post
Cheque donations should be made out to St David’s Hospice Care and sent to:
St David’s Hospice Care, Blacket Avenue, Newport, NP20 6NH
Please include a note stating the name and address of the donor so that we know who to acknowledge receipt to and what the donation is in aid of.
Donate in lieu of flowers at a funeral
Rather than buying flowers for a funeral, many people prefer to ask family and friends to make a donation instead.
Your funeral director will usually be happy to arrange this for you, or you can order our donation envelopes by
contacting hello@stdavidshospicecare.org or 01633 851051
Please give us as much notice as possible to ensure your envelopes arrive in time for the funeral service.
In Memoriam Events
At St David’s Hospice, we organise various in memoriam events specifically for you to celebrate and remember the lives of loved ones.
These are:
- Celebration events throughout the year
- Light up a Life in December
For more information on these, please contact us on hello@stdavidshospicecare.org or 01633 851051
