4 cycling routes of various distances (from 32 miles to 102) to support the work of St Davids Hospice Care.

The Tour de Gwent, organised by St David’s Hospice Care and sponsored by Whitehead Building Services, is the annual cycling event for everyone! With 4 brand new carefully designed routes to choose from, each with their own unique features, the event offers something for cyclists of all abilities. From hard-core cyclists looking for an epic leg-burning challenge to those who’d prefer a pleasant ‘there-and-back’ through Sirhowy Valley Country Park, you won’t be disappointed.

The event is great for spectators as well as those doing the pedalling. Starting at the iconic Tiny Rebel Brewery and then heading out to pass (arguably) some of the most idyllic scenery in South Wales, spectators are invited to enjoy a few hours exploring the local area or head out to a vantage point to cheer the riders along their chosen route.

Tour de Gwent Cycling Rules & Regulations

  • Riders take full responsibility for themselves for the duration of the event.
  • A helmet must be worn at all times if cycling.
  • Riders are expected to abide by the Highway Code.
  • Riders to be mindful and respectful of pedestrians and other riders.
  • By taking part I confirm that I will not be suffering from any disability or medical condition, whether physical or mental, which could affect my ability to participate safely in this event.
  • By taking part I will agree to participate in this event entirely at my own risk.
  • By taking part I will abide by the advice of the organisers (Hospice Event Team) together with Marshals and Medical Team.
  • By taking part I will agree to rely on my own ability in recognising and reacting to all hazards along the route.
