This scenic route has everything; first it takes you downhill, and then a flat fast stretch out to Mamhilad before you have a short (ish) climb to bring you back onto the picturesque Monmouthshire and Brecon canal towpath. The last mile is undulating, before you come back into the gorgeous setting of Pontypool Park and the slight uphill to the welcoming finish line.
