Parking
The walk starts at Pont ar daf car park (Grid Ref 988199, Postcode LD3 8NL), on the A470 between Brecon & Merthyr Tydfil.
Please note that the National Trust have introduced car parking charges at Pont ar Daf for non-members. It now costs £7.50 per car to park.

Registration
Registration from 6:00pm*; free glow sticks for all participants
Begin ascent of Pen y Fan from 7.00pm*. - Sunset is at 21:20
The walk includes the option of climbing to the summit of Corn Du on the ascent.
Families welcome; under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and parental consent must be given.
Moonlight Walk certificate issued at the end of the walk.
Entry fee £5 per person with the aim of raising £50 in sponsorship.

Glow, Glow, Glow
Help brighten up the night and add some fun by having lots of glow bits, dress to impress.
We will have items available to purchase on the evening at registration but feel free purchase your own.
We will issue each participant with a glow stick
Pen-y-fan, the statistics
Pen y Fan is the highest peak in South Wales situated in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons ). At 886 metres (2,907 ft) above sea-level, it is also the highest British peak south of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia.
The twin summits of Pen y Fan and Corn du at 873 m (2,864 ft) were formerly referred to as Cadair Arthur or 'Arthur's Seat'.

The distance is 6km (3.7 miles) and takes roughly 2.5 hours on average.
Kit list
This kit is essential for each participant (We will be performing a kit check for each participant prior to starting on the mountain)
- Walking boots or suitable trainers with good soles (No trainers or flip flops)
- Charged Mobile Phone
- Snacks
- Water
- A rucksack
- Waterproof jacket
- Spare warm clothing
- Hat & gloves
- Head or bright hand torch with adequate battery life (not phone torches)
- A Whistle
Recommended kit for each group is:
- Insect repellent
- Central Beacons map (1:50k or 1:25k)
- A compass
