On completion of your run, each participant will receive a commemorative medal to treasure.
Whilst not compulsory, we ask that you kindly endeavour to use your participation to raise sponsorship to support hospice care. Every penny really does mean so much to those facing life limiting illnesses in our community.
It's quick and simple to set up a Just Giving page - and it makes it really easy for friends and family to sponsor you.
FAMILY FUN RUN FAQ’S
- What time and where does the run start?
2pm near the entrance to the University Campus - What is the Age Limit?
There is no set age limit for the Family Fun Run. However, any runners aged 8 or under must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the race.
Event organisers have the right to prevent any unaccompanied runners (who are under the required age) from running. - Are pushchairs allowed on the course?
Yes, for this particular race pushchairs are allowed. - Are there more details about the Fun Run route?
The route starts and finishes near the University building on the Riverfront in the City Centre. The route equates roughly to a distance of 2km, but is not a certified measured course. - Are runners allowed to wear fancy dress?
Fancy dress is very much welcomed. However, it is important that costumes are in no way offensive. - Will a race pack be posted to me?
No, we want to minimise costs so your numbers will be ready for you at the University Campus Building. - How fit do you have to be to complete the course?
The Family Fun Run welcomes participants of all fitness levels. In previous years some participants have preferred to walk the whole course, particularly if they are accompanied by children. The Fun Run is a celebration of sport – and it is hoped participants will use the opportunity to raise funds to support the work of St David’s Hospice Care.
Our sincere thanks to the wonderful continued support from Friars Walk and the University of South Wales - without whom the event would not be possible. THANK YOU
