Community Events
Fancy running your own event? Whether you're a school, individual or a workplace, you can host your own event in aid of St David's Hospice Care.
St David’s Events, Hosted by You.
Did you know, as well as taking part in events, you can also help St David’s Hospice Care by organising your own fundraising event? As well as having fun, you will be helping towards the care of patients and their families living locally. Individuals & Groups can get involved in arranging their own events to raise much-needed funds for St David’s Hospice Care and we are happy to help where ever we can. Ask us for general advice and feel free to request a collection box, tin or bucket.
St David’s Hospice Care is extremely fortunate to receive support from the local community. Our services are provided free of charge and funded by you in the community. It costs over £9 million per year to fund our running costs and we appreciate all of your support. As an event host, we will always provide you with a certificate to thank you for all of your hard work and will endeavour to attend your event if requested.
As well as listing supporters events we have developed a series of campaigns which the community can engage with in order to raise the funds required. We welcome all new ideas and will do our upmost to support you.

Give it Up January
Hosted by The fundraising team
Sunday 1st January–Wednesday 1st February 2023
Location: Anywhere!
We are challenging supporters to give something up for January in order to raise sponsorship and start the new year on a positive note.
Have you got what it takes?
Giving something up for January could help you feel healthier and the sponsorship raised will go towards caring for people with life-limiting illnesses and provide support for their families at a very difficult time.
After a few weeks of excess, giving something up should be easy…right?
We challenge you to veto the vino, chuck the cheese, stub out the ciggies or turn off the telly. It can be anything at all! Raise more sponsorship by giving up something your friends and family know you’ll find difficult.

South Wales 3 Peaks Trial
Hosted by Cardiff Outdoor Group
Saturday 25th March 2023
Location: Abergavenny
The Three Peaks Trial is an organised challenge walk arranged each year in March by the Cardiff Outdoor Group. Since 2010 Longtown Mountain Rescue Team provide support with marshalls on all the mountain top checkpoints.
The Walk was first held in March 1963 and was designed for less experienced walkers who wanted to test their powers of endurance and skill at map reading. It is now the oldest challenge walk in the UK.
Over the years the event has been modified so in 2023 there is a choice of four other routes, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Visit the website for details of all routes and to register.
This is a great challenge and an opportunity to raise sponsorship to support St David's Hospice Care. Once registered, download a sponsorship form below or set up an online fundraising page on Just Giving
