What is the Big Welsh Brew?
The Big Welsh Brew is the perfect opportunity to have fun, catch up with friends and raise a bit of money for a good cause. Invite your friends around for a cuppa and some cake or hold a Big Welsh Brew event at work. There aren’t any restrictions on what you can do so it can be as big or as small as you like! Every penny raised will be supporting the work of St David’s Hospice Care. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Hold a Coffee Morning
A fundraising classic, everyone loves a cuppa! Bake or buy in some cakes and biscuits in exchange for donations.
Take it up a level and have finger sandwiches and scones in true afternoon tea fashion. Holding a raffle is a great way of boosting your total.
G&T at 3
Not limited to G&T, get together with friends for an afternoon lunch with drinks and nibbles. Put some donation boxes out on tables to boost your fundraising total.
Wine at 9
Get the snacks out and play some party games. Wine tasting evenings are a great way to raise some money.
We are encouraging everyone to embrace the Welsh element of the event and hold it on St David’s Day. We know that might not be suitable for everyone, so feel free to choose your own date. Like we said, there are no limits.
We’ve put together a fundraising pack to help you get the most out of your event. It is packed from cover to cover with ideas, information, advice and resources to help make your event a success.
