The new British Athletics rule  (with effect from 1 st April 2016), applies to this event

“Rule 240 S 5, regarding the wearing of headphones: “The wearing of headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed), is not permitted in races on any single carriageway road that is not wholly closed to traffic…”

Registration will be open from 8.15am until 9.45am to collect your number and chip.

There is another event taking place within the Active Living Centre, therefore consider using the car parks opposite, along Trosnant Street, and in the town centre.

We are also hosting a charity cake stall supporting St David’s Hospice Care and Alzheimers Research. Please bring some money to enjoy an after-event cake.

Join us once again for a lovely 10km race that takes you from Pontypool to Mamhillad and back along the scenic Monmouthshire to Brecon canal towpath.

2016 – largest field ever – 544 finishers. Well Done everyone. The sunshine as an unexpected added bonus. Beautiful day, brilliant running conditions.

The route is not closed to traffic, therefore we must insist that all particpants use the public footpaths where available. Gwent Police have expressed their concerns about runners using the road as this poses a hazard to both runner and vehicles. We will disqualify anyone seen using the road instead of the pavement.
